Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. This is light work, literally we are packing groceries. We usually finish before noon, and there is a 10-15 minute break. Use “Volunteer Entrance” on side of building. All work will be done indoors. Do not wear sandals or open-toed shoes. Thank you! |

Lenola Fire Hall in Moorestown to fill totes for children in area homeless shelters. This has always been a great event with tremendous turnout and generosity. And yet again, we are hoping to top ourselves by making over 1500 bags!!!!
As usual, we are working with Anna Sample House in Camden, Covenant House, Drueding Center in Philadelphia, Cooper Hospital, Lourdes Hospital, Heart of Camden, Providence House in Burlington County and the Early Childhood Development Center in Camden, Good Counsel Homes, Newborns in Need, Family Association of Bucks County, HB Wilson School, Cream School, CHOP and Cathedral Kitchen. Each of these organizations has provided us with a list of their kids and their specific needs.
You will find a list of these needs below.
Please sign up for as many things as you want to bring. Any amount is OK.
YOU WILL NOT NEED TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT TO SIGN UP AND IF YOU WANT TO FORWARD THIS TO A FRIEND OR 3, PLEASE FEEL FREE. THEY WILL BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE SIGN UP, AS WELL.
If you have trouble signing up, please email Jaclyn at jmestichelli@yahoo.com.
Just a note - all items this year need to be brand new, please. And yes, we can use handmade blankets as long as they have never been used by another child. Thanks so much and we can't wait to make it a great night!
Dessert and wine will be provided, and as always, we need to keep it an adults-only environment because space is so limited. Thanks for understanding!
If you cannot make it to the event and still want to donate - my mailing/drop-off address is:
Jaclyn Barnes, 100 Colonial Ave., Moorestown, NJ 08057.

The 2024 Citizen of the Year is Monique Begg, Moorestown resident for over 60 years, now 90+ years young.
Canadian born, she moved here with her husband shortly after getting married.
She has been a quietly persistent force in the Moorestown community on many levels for over 50 years.
More than 25 years ago she created The Friends Enrichment Program which has provided many different types of enrichment programs for Moorestown youth.
She is also a 2015 recipient of the Community Service Awards from the NAACP of Burlington County, NJ.
Moorestown’s Citizen of the Year Award is announced annually by the Moorestown Service Clubs Council which consists of the Rotary Lunch and Breakfast Clubs, and the Lions Club.
The Service Clubs Council has, since 1954 (this is the 70th anniversary), solicited nominations town wide and selected an individual each year who “is a Moorestown resident and has through varied voluntary community service activities significantly contributed to the quality of life of both our community and its citizens.”
There will be no Lunch Meeting on Thursday February 8.
