Project Bliss Bundles
Moorestown Rotary Club Member Huma Khan and her family are coordinating this project to benefit vulnerable families in Moorestown and surrounding communities. With support from our Club, Huma’s family will bring the bundles to several local schools and non-profits for distribution. Huma’s children will also get friends from Moorestown High School to get involved with the project.
Our Lend-a-Hand Committee is asking you to donate one or more Bundles to support this caring community outreach from our Rotary Club.
To donate a Bundle, we ask that you purchase the personal items and package them in an 8X10” gift bag.
You can deliver your Bundles to the back porch of the Khan family home at 26 Sheffield Drive in Moorestown.
Our Committee would also appreciate your purchase of a $20 gift card to Target or Shop Rite for each Bundle.
Our Club’s Special Response Fund will also support this project through the purchase of additional gift cards. Please see the list below of contents requested for the Bundles.

As you may know, Soup for the Soul is one of the Moorestown High School’s largest fundraising events which benefits Philabundance, the largest hunger relief organization in the Delaware Valley. Normally, we sell tickets to a soup and bread lunch, with food donated from local restaurants, a raffle, and live entertainment.

Feb 01, 2021 - Feb 28, 2021
One of the greatest Moorestown High School traditions is its annual Soup for the Soul event hosted by the Interact Club for the last 20 years. Unfortunately, due to food service restrictions put in place in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have decided not to hold our event as we have in the past. We typically donate around $5,000 annually to Philabundance and, this year, we would like to support them more than ever. There are three ways you can help support our cause.
1) Buy a Moorestown cookbook: We asked the residents of Moorestown to submit their favorite family recipes so that we could compile them into a Moorestown community cookbook. We had a fantastic response and are able to offer a book with over 50 wonderful recipes. A digital-only version is available for a suggested donation of $10, and a physical printed book will be available for a suggested donation of $20. Additionally, as an added bonus, each person who purchases a physical cookbook will be entered into a drawing to win one of three $25 gift cards to Bacio. To purchase a cookbook of favorite Moorestown recipes, please click this link: tinyurl.com/Cookbook2021
2) Purchase Soup from Bacio: Bacio Kitchen & Catering in Palmyra (www.bcater.com) has offered to run a special soup pick- up to benefit our event, Soup for the Soul. 100% proceeds go to our club. Soup must be ordered by Feb 15th for pick up on Feb 18th. Please use the link below to pre-order a pint of soup: tinyurl.com/BacioSoup2021
3) Support La Vie Hair and Nails Salon: La Vie Hair and Nails Salon has offered to donate 5% of their revenue to Soup for the Soul until March 7, 2021, as long as you mention “Moorestown High School” when you make your appointment. Please consider helping Soup for the Soul and Philabundance by supporting La Vie Hair and Nails Salon at 79 E. Main Street in Moorestown (856-222-4100). la-vie-hair-and-nails-salon.business.site
Despite not being able to host our traditional Soup for the Soul event, we still hope to donate as much money as possible to Philabundance. Thank you for your support.
