Tree Planting Project at Locust Street Park At the beginning of his current term, RI President Ian Riseley issued a 'Preserve Planet Earth' initiative to plant a tree for each member of every Rotary Club around the world. Our Club's efforts to spearhead this initiative are being headed up by Paul Canton, Paul Spain, and Mike Wilson. The Rotary Clubs of Moorestown (AMP, Breakfast, Lunch) will combine to plant 150 trees at Locust Street Park in Moorestown on Saturday April 14 to tie in with Arbor Day and Earth Day. Through the NJ Tree Recovery Campaign, the Township will be donating 150 trees (saplings) to our combined clubs. The Township would like our Clubs to finance 10-15 larger trees. The Township would clear and prepare the area two weeks prior to planting and Rotarians would do the planting. please invite family, friends and co-workers for a fun filled day |

Hello Friends of AMP,
May Day, (May 1) is a very big deal! According to Wikipedia it is “It is an ancient northern hemisphere spring festival and a traditional spring holiday in many cultures. Dances, singing, and cake are usually part of the festivities.” It is also International Workers’ Day.
Both aspects of this auspicious day will be observed at our next AMP Rotary Evening Group meeting, May 1, 5:45 p.m. – 7 p.m. at HARVEST restaurant. While we won’t be singing or dancing, we will celebrate the fun of being together by enjoying libations and delicious appetizers (how about those Cauliflower Wings, and the pot stickers! Yum!) We will applaud the work that Urban Promise is doing in Camden, by hosting Toni Farmer, Director of Marketing and Development, as our featured speaker.
And we will continue to move forward on OUR AMP work projects that include:
RSVP for our next meeting, or to join us at the above-listed activities to either Geri:geri@gcforganizing.com or Maddie at Maddie.Webb@AmeriHealth.com We hope to see you there, Geri Chark Frankel and Maddie Webb |
